Possible topics include the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Berlin Blockade, Space Race, propaganda, etc. Craft an argument that takes into account the following questions: Who was involved? What were its roots? Why did it happen? How did it unfold? What risks were involved? Was it resolved? Who benefited from it? What impact did it have on the Cold War and on the world? Do not overlook any of the above questions, but feel free to focus on some of them in more detail.
