Introduction (10 Points)
This subsection states your topic or describes your narrowed subject area. Give substantiated information regarding the topic. You can also add any other related introductory material. Typically, you should include the definition of the disorder, any statistical information about the disorder, the history,its current status, and what the future looks like.

Immediately following the Introduction, present why this topic is important. Include questions your paper will answer (include as many as you would like). Based on your questions, you now know what information you are looking for in your research (searching for information to include in your paper).

Basis of Research (30 Points)
(Begin immediately after the Statement of Purpose) THIS IS THE BULK OF YOUR PAPER!!!! This portion contains an overview of your psychological topic. It also answers the questions stated in your Statement of Purpose. First, you will describe your psychological topic with facts and statistical data. Remember to give as many details as possible. Look for examples in everyday life that further depict your topic. (This section should not contain your personal opinions about these facts or statements; those will come later in the paper). Also, all facts must be cited. Second, begin with information that answers your first question. Third, provide information that answers your second question. Then, provide information that answers your next question.(Continue until all questions are answered) You do not have to restate your questions.

This is where your opinion matters. Questions that you might want to consider are:
1. Based on information gathered about the topic, how is society dealing with it?Basis of Research.
2. Why is the topic important to you?
3. How can the topic have been viewed differently?
4. Are there any ethical, legal, or professional concerns pertaining to the topic?
5. What is the outlook for this topic? What does the future look like regarding this topic?
