1. Can you identify and describe what is meant by the term executive power? What is the executive in the UK and how is it composed? What is the role of the executive, in the UK?
2. Can you identify and describe the limits of executive power, in relation the UK government?
3. What are some examples of abuses, by the UK or foreign governments, of executive power?

General criteria across all aspects of assessment:
• Demonstrating knowledge and understanding of underlying themes in citizenship and related legal concepts.
• Identifying and explaining relevant issues and setting out and explaining in outline the relevant law.
• Identifying in outline relevant principles and materials to support an answer.
• Expressing an answer clearly and concisely, using correct grammar and spelling and using basic legal language where relevant.
For oral presentation tasks (in addition to the above general criteria):
• Using a clear and logical structure to analyse potential issues arising from facts.
• Applying the law to the facts and reaching a logical conclusion or giving advice.
• Delivering an oral presentation which is audible, suitably paced, and within specified time limits.
• Responding in a clear and timely manner to questions posed orally.
