Give a summary of the article. Indicate what the article is about, the major points of the research or argument, and the author’s conclusions. Note unusual findings. You may also use the videos to help support your article. Would you recommend the article to others to read?

The Articles: APA format
1. Summary of the article:
Begin by presenting the thesis (the main theme). Also identify any sub-themes. Indicate what
the article is about, the major points of the research or argument and the author’s conclusions.
Note usual findings. Do not include your personal viewpoint here! Just interpret the facts!
2. Refer to the Author by Name:
Throughout your review refer to the author by name. You are reviewing his/her presentation,
so citing the writer gives agency to your critique.
3. Commentary:
Criticism (Good and Bad)
Can you mention benefits which the author(s) overlooked?
Are the conclusions valid, e.g. can you offer an explanation for the findings?
Can you suggest a research project, which would address some of the problems, brought out in
the article or by your criticism?
Did the Author strive to be objective, or were her/she somewhat bias?
4. Conclusion:
What do you conclude about this article?
What is your personal viewpoint (or perspective)? Give specific reasons for it.
Do you recommend it for other to read? To whom? Why?
5. Length:
Articles reviews only require 2-3 typed double spaced pages.
