1. Construct a research question that addresses the distinct problem you want to address.
2. PICO (T) questions are designed to assist with reviewing the literature and when well designed will include the key terms for your search. State your PICO(T) question on the discussion board and break down each of the components (Population, Intervention, Comparison, Outcomes, and sometimes Time Frame). Not all PICOT questions contain all these elements, but many do.
3. Write one clear objective or aim for your research study.
4. Discuss the concepts and variables in your study idea and describe what type of variable they are.
5. Define your variables conceptually and operationally. Include a reference for where you retrieve the evidence based definitions.
6. Write one hypothesis for your study and describe what type of hypothesis it is.
7. In a sentence or two describe how the APA Chapter 3 Writing Clearly and Concisely will be useful to you in this course.
