Dingfelder articulated several shortcomings of the NICHD day care study. First, the study did not break down the effects of daycare on different subgroups of children (e.g., boys vs. girls, low- vs. middle-income). The study also neglected to address the mechanisms by which day care may increase aggression. Discuss the following questions:

Could it be lack of punishment for aggressive acts or something else?
Could these effects be associated with positive outcomes for children?Explain
Lastly, the study did not take into account the economic and psychological benefits daycare provides for families. Discuss both aspects of these benefits.
