The full prompt:
Today many physicians fear that the existence of a Medical-Industrial Complex will corrode the individually defined and determined doctor-patient relationship, as it has existed for decades. They fear they will not be able to share an intimate, personal relationship with their patients, because of the imposition of bureaucratic governmental regulation and corporate control of the medical practice. Physicians had the same fears when President Johnson led the way in making health care more available to the elderly and the poor. Look back over all the subjects we have covered in this course, what we have read, including the Affordable Care Act. Then write a four-page essay in which you describe what a doctor’s practice will be like when shaped by new governmental policies and corporate influence that increase the demands for health care for previously undeserved people in America, and regulate the time doctors can spend with patients. Back up your picture of that physician with specific references to at least five of the course readings.
