1) Identify your chosen policy (i.e., provide its name and the year enacted; if it’s a state policy identify the state). The Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act (2016) (i.e., opioids)

2) Identify the primary social problem that the policy is/was intended to address
a. Be specific (i.e., don’t just indicate “poverty” or “substance abuse”)
b. Describe why this was a social problem such that your policy was enacted
i. Identify and describe how was the primary social problem linked to (causing or caused by) other secondary social problems?
1. Identify and describe at least one secondary social problem.
ii. Identify who or what social groups in society were affected/being harmed or at risk of harm by the primary social problem.
iii. Identify and describe the dynamics of fear about the primary social problem (what was it about this problem that made people afraid).

3) Identify and describe what your chosen policy did, does, or proposes to do to address the above primary social problem. Be specific about what the policy does. For example:
Ex: Provides funding
