Language Learning Experiences

Consider your own experiences, ideas conveyed in the literature, and findings resulting from discussions with peers to compose a 3- to 4-page paper on the assimilation of English language learners in a community. Follow the steps below to create your final product.
Step 1. Describe
Describe your own experiences learning your first language and, if applicable, any additional languages you have learned or are currently in the process of learning.
Step 2. Summarize
Summarize the assigned readings for this module as they relate to English language learners. What concepts did you find to be particularly unusual, unexpected, and/or interesting and why?
Step 3. Discuss and Report
Engage in a discussion with one or more of your peers in this course and/or at your place of work regarding the assimilation of English language learners in your community. In a paper, report themes, responses, and other notes of interest (anonymously where appropriate) emerging from the discussion(s). Incorporate information from Steps 1-2 as appropriate.
Step 4. Cite
Use APA format for in-text citations and references. Reference at least three scholarly articles.
