To be responsible for operations, optimization, maintenance, and reliability of pipeline system
To design pipeline asset management schemes for pipeline security,availability and monitoring

Key Responsibilities

Liaise with locations in designing and scoping all maintenance activities along the Pipelines right of way network
Monitor Third Party Contractors on PROW to ensure strict adherence to Company policies, procedure during Pipeline maintenance and repairs
Oversee surveillance and inspection of the pipelines to prevent leaks
Interface with pipeline security and maintenance contractors to sustain pipeline availability
Ensure a database of identified threats and possible outcomes is created and maintained
Ensure pipeline inspections are routinely conducted and documented
Ensure the process for deployment of pipeline security and safety management system are managed and maintained
Ensure data integration system for all identified factors associated with pipeline maintenance and operations is produced and maintained
Produce threat identification and response systems/guidelines and ensure deployment
Review and analyze various operating data to identify areas of lost opportunity as well as opportunities to increase reliability, optimize pipeline operations and lower operating costs
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and other industry standards
Ensure safe and efficient operations of the pipeline system
Provide timely and regular reports on the activities of the Department to the Manager, Pipeline ROW
Ensure the capacity development of direct reports, through coaching and other learning methods, for career growth, optimal productivity and performance
Provide regular, formal and informal, feedback on identified gaps of direct reports performance and recommend appropriate solutions

Required Qualifications

First degree or its equivalent in Basic/Physical Sciences, Engineering or related discipline
Professional qualification, certification or membership of relevant professional bodies e.g. COREN, NSE etc

To manage all facilities maintenance activities in NIGAZ to guarantee proper functioning
To ensure maintenance are carried out in strict compliance with established policies, procedures and standards
To ensure Asset Integrity standards are maintained by planning, organizing, scheduling and controlling all maintenance work for assigned field asset

Key Responsibilities

Plan and implement preventive facilities maintenance programmes and schedules in line with established policy
Ensure prompt response to emergency calls for facilities maintenance and other related issues, with effective coordination of activities of the emergency response team
Oversee the day-to-day facilities maintenance activities, utilizing both in-house staff and subcontractors
Coordinate with external contractors to perform applicable repairs and preventive maintenance on all facilities in NIGAZ
Collaborate with Asset Management, Pipeline, Processing and HSE personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of the company’s facilities
Monitor and demonstrate achievement of facilities maintenance service levels agreement
Create facilities maintenance contingency plans for the purpose of ensuring prompt response to breakdown in infrastructures
Develop computerized maintenance management system in pipeline facilities, to support the continuous processing and transportation of products
Ensure compliance with corporate policies on Health, Safety and Environment while carrying out maintenance functions
Develop and ensure the implementation of pipeline facilities uptime programmes, including Preventive Maintenance and Predictive Maintenance
Provide timely and regular reports on the activities of the Unit to Manager, Process Engineering
Capacity enhancement of direct reports, through coaching and other learning methods, for career growth, optimal productivity and performance
Provide regular, formal and informal, feedback on identified gaps of direct reports’ performance and recommend appropriate solutions

Required Qualifications

First Degree or its equivalent in Engineering, Physical Sciences or related fields
Professional qualification, certification and membership of at least one relevant professional body e.g. IFMA, BIFM, SMRP, NSE, COREN, etc.
