750-1,000 words, APA or MLA citations. To understand why we study new and emerging media, we must look at older –but no less exciting! –media. Discuss a medium or technology that has truly changed your life. How did it shape your use of future media, and why? How was the medium accepted by society at the time, and did it ultimately lead to changes in how others used media or technologies? Provide examples for all of these. Given the time in which we live, this assignment is meant to be more colloquial and enjoyable, a view intothe media that shaped you. However, you will be pairing it with at least 3 outside sources discussing the medium or technology to provide a greater sociotechnical perspective for your paper.
