Consider how resistance is articulated and exercised via the “masses” “popular” and culture. Evaluate the extent to which forms of resistance were successful in advancing perspectives on social justice and equity.
Is there a link between culture and inequality? Discuss the goals and values of our (Western) culture and assess the social psychological impact said ideals have on us and the wider society, especially in regards to the representations of race, gender and sexuality. Comment on why it is studying culture is relevant.
