After doing some outside research, discuss the types of regulations (legislation) in the hospitality industry. Is the amount of regulation reasonable, excessive or not enough? State your position. Use evidence (from your research) to support your position.

Hint: There are several ways you can approach this discussion question. First, you may want to research two similar pieces of hospitality related legislation from two States of the USA, or from the USA and another Country.

You can organize your discussion as follows:

Title of First Legislation: In your own words give a description of the legislation, its purpose, and area of coverage.
Title of Second Legislation: do the same analysis as you did above.
Similarities and Differences: Identify the similarities and differences.
Conclusion: Give an overview of your findings. Suggest reasons for the differences.
Alternatively, you may want to identify several regulations but focus on only two or three for your position statement. In this case, you would not be comparing and contrasting.
