Before working on this assignment, it is important to understand the difference between a bibliography (a list of sources) and an annotated bibliography. As its name suggests, an annotated bibliography includes an annotation for each resource listed. This can include a variety of information but for this assignment, your annotation will include:

The main argument or focus of the article (what is the main research question or problem examined, what did the article investigate)
The relevance of the article for your research topic (how this article fits within the research topic, how it illuminates the research topic, how it supports or challenges the issue investigated in the research topic, etc.).
The evaluation of the source (what is the unique contribution and value of this article, how does it compare to other sources selected, what particular aspect of the research topic is illuminated in this article, what are the possible limitations and shortcomings of this article, etc.).
Do NOT copy the abstract or any part of the abstract for use in your annotation. No direct quotes should be used in the annotated bibliography. The annotation should be in your own words and should not include any direct quotes, outside sources, etc. In a good annotated bibliography, each citation is followed by a brief (usually 150–200 words) evaluative paragraph that encourages you to think critically about the work you are citing and its relation to your own research. A good annotated bibliography provides evidence that you have read and understood your sources. The goal of this assignment is to help you develop your final research paper successfully, effectively, and efficiently.

The annotated bibliography will include at least 8 but no more than 15 sources related to your topic. All sources MUST be peer-reviewed research articles
