PROJECT: NEW DEAL PROGRAMS
Franklin Roosevelt’s New Deal created a variety of Federal agencies and programs that were designed to address the effects of the Great Depression. For this project, you’ll research some of the programs of the New Deal.

OBJECTIVES
Explain how the New Deal addressed the problems of the Great Depression.
Instructions
Select three programs of the New Deal. Write about the three programs in an essay of 300 words.. Be sure to answer the following questions about each program:

What was the purpose of the program? How was it supposed to counter the effects of the Depression?
Did the program target a particular group of people in society?
How successful was the program at bringing about relief and recovery?
What were the main weaknesses of the program?
Did the program attract any opposition? Why?

Federal Housing Administration (FHA);
National Youth Administration (NYA);
