This session explores teachers and students’ perceptions of the learning, teaching and assessment. How context influences these, will be an important factor/dimension for consideration.
Questions for reflection/discussion:
1. What is ‘educational context’ and how does it impact on learning?
2. How do the different perspectives of classroom contexts add to our developing understanding of teaching and learning?
3. How do external influences impact on schools and in particular the process of teaching and learning? Consider for example, an educational policy from your particular context and how it has impacted your own learning and/or teaching.
