Your assignment is to take what story you think was best this semester and compare and contrast it with the story you think was the least impactful. The point here is to demonstrate what you have learned about the craft of stories and use this knowledge to present why, in your opinion, one story is executed better than another. How does each author use the story to make a larger point about the world around them?
How did the author organize the text? Think about the beginning, middle, and end. What effect does this organization have?
What style and tone does the author use and why? What diction (word choice) does the author use? What does that tell you about the author and situation?
