Consider the various marketing misconceptions introduced in Chapter 1 of the course textbook, Exhibit 1.1. You should have the textbook for this course. However, to assist, use the uploaded the file with Exhibit 1.1 in GAP in week 1. It is entitled Exhibit 1.1 for the New Year’s Day – Holiday DQ and it contains Marketing Misconceptions: What Marketing Is Not

a. Pick any two of the marketing misconceptions and develop a specific example of each from your own experience with firms and brands.

b. Can you describe another marketing misconception of your own – of what marketing is not-that is not addressed in the chapter exhibit?

c. How will it be beneficial for a new marketing manager to understand the misconceptions and the realities that exist about marketing?
