FNET: Start of Semester Reflection

For the start-of-the-semester reflection, reflect on why you are taking this class, how you plan to complete it successfully, and what concerns you have. Topics to think about include:

How you feel about taking a statistics class?

Your behavior as a student in general and in online classes in particular.

What concerns do you have about taking an online, asynchronous class?

What strategies will you employ to complete this class successfully?

How will this statistics class help you complete your education goals?

How will this statistics class help you complete your career goals?

How this statistics class can help become a better member of society?

The best reflections are introspective. Please do not tell me about your “learning style.” Learning styles are a myth. There is no evidence that your so-called “learning style” has any importance.

You must follow my instructions.

Instructions:

Your assignment must be submitted through Blackboard.

Paragraphs must be double-spaced with the first line of each paragraph indented a half an inch. There should be no added lines before or after each paragraph. Use a standard 12-point serif font like Cambria or Times New Roman. Use standard margins: 1.25” on the right and left, 1” on the top and bottom. Failure to follow these instructions will result in a 10-point reduction. Do not use sans serif fonts like Arial or Calibri. Do not justify the right margins of your text. To avoid these problems, use the Word template provided on Blackboard: Reflection1_Template.docx.
