Chapter 2

First, you will need to go to the Login Tab and “Register” for an Account.Do not need to enter your social media handles (e.g., Twitter, Reddit).

Second, Go to the Questionnaires Tab and click on VIA Survey of Character Strengths
Third, Take the University of Pennnsylvania’s VIA Survey. The survey may take up to 45 minutes to an hour to complee (240 questions).Complete it. This survey accurately captures individuals’ self-concepts.

Fourth, respond to the following:
(a) What are your top two strengths? If you are comfortable sharing, what is your bottom strength (24th)?
(b) Do the results of this survey align with how you see yourself? What does “self-concept” mean?
(c) Based on this week’s readings and video lesson, what factors may contribute to your top two strengths (e.g., direct definitions, social comparison, media, culture, attachment style, etc.)? Demonstrate your knowledge of the course concepts here.
(d) If you are interested in improving your bottom strength (24th), what strategies might you engage in to better yourself in this area? Reference strategies from the text.

Chapter 3:
1. Define the fundamental attribution error.
2. Identify a specific example of the fundamental attribution error in your perceptions. Describe how you explained your own behavior and that of others. Then, revise your explanation in such a way that it no longer reflects the fundamental attribution error. Demonstate your knowledge of the course concepts.
3. How can you avoid making these perceptual errors in the future?
