Imagine you are a teacher at National Preschool and your director has asked you to join a new committee as a representative on an important taskforce. You will work with other teachers throughout the state of California to focus on the importance of play in early childhood. Your first task is to take time to reflect on what you believe is the biggest issue currently impacting children’s play and to propose a plan to address this issue. You will also include how you would raise awareness about the issue and what action you would take to address it. Think about this issue on a national level, not just at your center. To provide support, consider including national (United States) statistics, scholarly articles, or a review of literature.
