Module 04 Discussion Forum: Air Quality
Air pollution is a serious global public health problem that is managed most effectively by collective (societal) action to control emissions of both primary air pollutants and precursors that react to form secondary air pollutants. Personal exposure to ambient air pollutants occurs in both indoor and outdoor environments, and the levels of exposure depend on the fractions of time an individual spends in various indoor and outdoor environments, as well as the concentrations of outdoor-source air pollutants in those indoor and outdoor environments.
In this discussion, utilizing your own experiences AND information you have learned from our module reading materials, past experiences, outline, describe and explain a significant air quality environment. This may be either one that exposes the population of concern through an exterior factor or may be the result of an interior contaminant. (I.E. – if your patients works in an office that has a mold problem.)
Post your response to the scenario and then respond to the posts of at least 1 classmate. Be concise & thorough in your posts. Explain the “who, what, when, where and how” when applicable to your posts. Your initial post should offer a full explanation to your peers. Each post should be substantial, thorough, fully address the topic, and use professional language and tone, including your responsive post to your peer – explain why you agree or disagree with them, and offer additional points.
Post your initial post by mid-week (check the due dates) and respond to a minimum of 1 peer by the end of the module. Check your Coursework calendar and assignment details for specific due dates.
