The goal of the study is to Provide an evaluation of the approach of the philosophy of religious asceticism in the Abrahamic Faith religions including Christianity, Islam, and Judaism.
Objectives
The objectives of the study include:
To identify the most significant similarities and differences in asceticism among the Abrahamic faith religions (Islam, Christianity, and Judaism)
To compare and contrast religious asceticism practiced in Abrahamic religions and hedonism practiced by other ancient non-Abrahamic religions
To establish the most philosophically acceptable view of religious asceticism
