Watch these two videos to help you to define each of these Sociological theories. You will also want to read course materials in Acrobatiq on Durkheim, Marx, and Goffman. You will be using these resources to develop a 2-3 paragraphs summary for each Sociological theory. Finally you should feel free to conduct research online to supplement your effort to develop a summary for each of the Sociological theories focused on Durkheim, Marx, and Goffman.

Part 1 – In a short 1-2 page essay in APA double spaced format you will need to provide an overview of the Sociological perspective of each Sociological theorist. Use the resources summarized above to develop a 2-3 paragraph summary for each of the Sociological theories.
Part 2 – Download the Social Problem Worksheet. In each column try to consider the perspective of the Sociological theorist (Durkheim, Marx, and Goffman) to identify the potential cause of the social problem. As yourself: How would each Sociological theorist describe the cause of each social problem on the table? How can we know what theory is responsible for these actions? What difference does it make whether or not we see individuals as individuals only, or as a collective whole as we attempt to interpret these situations and social problems in our society?
