Find the peer proposal draft that has been assigned to you (see 2021 Peer Review Paper Assignment to find de-identified proposals written by classmates ) and write a detailed review of the draft, using the following format:

Paragraph 1

Summarize the main points of the proposal touching briefly on each section. Identify the key strengths of the proposal in its current state. Be specific, and avoid using overly subjective language (“I like,” “The intro is good”). Be constructive, and identify why certain elements are effective.

Paragraph 2

Address any global weaknesses in the draft—concerns about general organization, conceptual/logical issues, missing or under-developed sections, etc. Remember that global issues are those that affect large sections of the entire draft, which is why they need to be considered first. Be specific, and for every issue you point out, offer your peer at least one suggestion for how to address it.

Paragraph 3

Address any more localized weaknesses or concerns—grammatical issues, questionable sources, weak topic sentences, etc. Try to focus most on the patterns you see. Your time will be better spent commenting on recurring errors rather than the few random typos you may find. Again, for every issue you point out, offer your peer at least one suggestion for how to address it.
