Using developmentally appropriate principles and practices, create FIVE (5) early childhood activities that encourage children to explore, experiment, question and be creative. .

note – the 5 activities must be in lesson plan format**

Introduction – Provide definitions (and examples) of age/developmental appropriateness, individual appropriateness, and cultural appropriateness. (Basically – what they are, and how you can address them in the classroom)

Before each activity – briefly state why you chose the activity, what the children will learn, why it is important for the children to learn, and any source material you used should be cited here.

3. There must be one activity chosen or created in the cognitive domain. There must be a complete description as you would find in a lesson plan. The FSW School of Education lesson plan template is posted here, and is the only template that should be used.

5. There must be one activity chosen or created in the creative domain. There must be a complete description as you would find in a lesson plan. The FSW School of Education lesson plan template is posted here, and is the only template that should be used.

Summary – A brief summary of why you chose the activities you did as well as the experience you had presenting the activity of your choice to the child/children.

Document format is up to you – you can put the introduction and summary on one page, followed by the 5 activity plans, or do the introduction, followed by the 5 activities, and ending with the summary, or however you see fit.
