Hotels have recognized the need to stage environmentally friendly meetings. Each of the following hotel chains has an environmental policy and / or initiative.
- Review Fairmont’s “Eco-Meet: Green Meeting and Conference Planning Guide.” What does the Fairmont recommend in each of the following areas: waste management, water conservation and energy efficiency?
- What is Kimpton’s Clean the World program? Why would they create this type of program?
- Watch the Marriott Green meetings video. What are some of the ways that they are making their events more eco friendly?
