Professional nursing accountability is described by both professional nursing organizations and educators as a paramount quality that supports the nursing practice.
However, after reviewing the articles, we recognize that accountability, historically speaking, has not been well defined.
How would you define professional accountability? What professional behaviors must a nurse possess or develop to become professionally accountable?
