• What would be a need for a community health nurse to begin a health promotion project in this community?
o After going into the community, it was concluded that many of the residents on the north side of the zip code
did not take advantage or participated in the public parks around the community. There weren’t many residents
observed walking or exercising in the community. A good nursing intervention would be to establish exercise
activities in the parks to attract residents and encourage them to workout.
o A need for the community would be to have exercise programs implemented in the parks and the recreation
centers. This will encourage community engagement and exercising for the residents.
