Is there a “type” of prisoner that is subjected more to solitary confinement than other “types” of prisoners? Address the validity of using solitary confinement as a remedy to reduce prison violence, inmate punishment, and inmate protection. Provide policies and analysis of those policies which exist to protect the prisoner from the ramifications of solitary confinement and provide a basis for the usage of solitary confinement.
