When writing your course research paper, please ensure that your paper is highly technical in accounting procedures. Your paper should be written in a professional and scholarly manner with the level of technical accounting procedures we see in the textbook. Cite your sources very carefully and ensure that you insert in-text citations for every idea that you use that is not originally your own or common knowledge.

Since this course covers corporate accounting, your paper must address in some substantive way corporate accounting. Ensure that as you craft your paper it does not turn into a personal finance paper. Do not use Investopedia type of sources for this paper. This is a scholarly research paper. Finally, ensure that your paper is highly technical. Do not turn in a paper that is more appropriate for an introductory accounting course. I cannot stress these items enough. Each semester I have a handful of students that do not read my instructions and they receive very disappointing grades.
