• Use a virus-protection program on all your computers and keep it updated.
• Create strong passwords and change them often.
• Avoid clicking links in suspicious e-mails.
• Exercise caution when using free WiFi, because you have no control over its security.
• Be careful what you download, because malware can be disguised as an app (anything from a game to a map service).
• Learn how to recognize secure sites. Secure sites usually begin with “https://” (not merely “http://—the s indicates security), or they display a small padlock symbol.
