Write a Qualitative analysis and self-reflective narrative piece using a derive to common themes approach

For the qualitative part of the assignment for this unit you are required to produce a poster presentation similar to one you would produce at an academic conference. In order to get to the stage of producing the poster you need to conduct the research project; in this respect the poster can be viewed as a research report presented in poster format (one slide only). There will need to be an audio-narration for the poster. By far the easiest way to do this is to produce the poster on a single slide in PowerPoint, use the microphone function to audio record on the slide and then to convert this to a video file. The video file is then submitted using the qualitative submission link and in order to grade it the poster will be viewed whilst the audio is playing. Note the time limit is ten minutes and any time over this will be subject to overlong penalties.
In order to produce the research content that you need for this poster you are required to revisit the data from one of the formative tasks in this unit’s content.

Collect any additional data for this task although you may choose to analyse your already collected data using a different research question and/or a different analysis approach, so for example your social justice song was originally analysed using discourse analysis, you may choose to use this for your poster using discourse analysis or perhaps you would like to reanalyse it using for example thematic, however what you cannot do is choose a different song. The same is true for each week, you can reanalyse the data but you cannot collect any additional data.

You are not allowed to collect any new data for this task, the summative assessment will fail and you may be subject to a disciplinary hearing if you collect any additional data as this contravenes the ethical approval for this unit.

Choose one of the following options (note only data from these weeks is allowed to be used):
Qualitative analysis of a song about social justice song (one song, chosen as part of the unit tasks and available in the public domain, students can either use the audio and indicate direct quotations using time stamps or they can transcribe and use line numbers).

A Qualitative analysis of the diary of a young girl, by Anna Frank and a self-reflective narrative piece. For this assignment this analysis may either be a comparative piece or an approach to derive common themes.

A grounded theory of homelessness as depicted in news paper articles (for this one you may use up to three of the articles that have been shared on the student weekly task forum).
Qualitative analysis of experiences of hobbies (one interview only, to have been conducted for this unit).

Depending on the data you have available you may choose a variety of angles for this assignment, for example; a research question on hobbies in general: transitions of hobbies throughout life or a psychological consideration of a specific hobby.

Analysis of the ‘faith mummy blog’ (one article only). Depending on the blog chosen there are a number of different angles you can take for your research question, please ensure this is reflected in your choice of literature.
