The project was on schedule and within budget, and at its official opening by the Queen it was hailed as a great success. But two weeks later when T5 went operational what should have been an occasion for celebration turned into a national disaster. A combination of problems led to complete chaos with almost 300 flights being cancelled and more than 20,000 pieces of luggage being stranded.” Accessed 1.12.2019
